In its ongoing commitment to discovering and nurturing journalistic talent, Hua Siong College of Iloilo’s (HSCI) official student publication, The Chain, recently hosted Journ Tilt 2024. Held on August 9 at the Irene Ang Jun Teng Auditorium, HSCI Main Campus, this event opened doors for new aspiring student journalists.
In a spectacular debut, Hua Siong College of Iloilo Debate Team clinched the championship at the 5th International Humanitarian Law Inter-School Debate Series, held on August 31, 2024, at the Iloilo Festive Walk Mall. The team delivered a stellar performance, going head-to-head with Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, and emerging victorious.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for Hua Siong College of Iloilo, showcasing the exceptional talent, preparation, and determination of its debate team. The rigorous competition tested their knowledge, critical thinking, and persuasive communication skills, all of which they displayed with remarkable poise, composure, and confidence.
